Mass Media Apostolate

Following the example of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe, the friars in Australia are engaged in the mass media apostolate such as radio broadcasting live every Sunday from 7:30pm-9:00pm on "Gate of Heaven" Catholic Radio, 107.9FM Radio Fremantle, Western Australia. Maintenance of the internet website, and cyber information of their communities complete our modest outreach for evangelisation in the multimedia platform. In other parts of the world, radio stations are maintained in Italy, in Benin (Africa), in the United States as well as in the Philippines. The sisters in different convents of the world publish books and magazine. In the United States, the friars publish scholarly and popular books on Our Lady, the saints and the Catholic Faith. Preaching, Conferences, Parish Mission

Apart from what is a specific apostolate proper to the charism of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, the friars especially the priests are engaged in the traditional Franciscan apostolate of preaching, giving retreats and conferences as well as assisting the clergy in the ministry of the sacraments of confessions and spiritual direction. These have been the consistent field of pastoral works of the friars in other parts of the world. The friars welcome invitation to conduct retreats and days of spirituality when requested. Retreat Centre

The friary in Toodyay has a special retreat facility that conducts individual and group retreats, whether directed or non-directed. Situated in the beautiful landscape in the outskirts of Perth, "The Immaculate Heart Retreat Centre" provides an opportunity to the busy people of the city a place of serene and tranquil refuge for spiritual and physical revival.
